INTERCHURCH WOMEN OF THE ROCHESTER AREA is a service organization that does not take doctrinal positions; everyone is welcome to attend. We pray for the guidance of our Lord, Jesus Christ to enable us to fulfill God's purpose. "For just as the body is one and has many members and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For by one Spirit we were baptized into one body...." 1 Corinthians 12:12 (RSV) The next meeting will be held on the first Monday in September. Babysitting is available; please call the host church by the Thursday preceding the meeting so they can be sure to have enough sitters.

CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE ROCHESTER AREA NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE is a non-profit, non-governmental agency which aids people with various needs. Those who are qualified may receive rent, utilities, counseling and other emergency assistance. It is housed in St. Andrews Church, 1400 Inglewood. For more information or to volunteer call 248-651-5836; or visit their website at www.ranh.org. THE FOOD PANTRY is housed and maintained at First Congregational Church, 1315 North Pine Street. Economic conditions have created ever greater demands for emergency food supplies. Donations may be left in the kitchen and marked "Pantry Shelf." Cash to cover the costs of purchasing food is always accepted. For more information, please call 248-656-0230. Food Pantry Hours are: Monday - Thursday: 12 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Intakes are done at RANH office Monday - Thursday from 12:00 p.m. thru 2:30 p.m. Food orders are assembled Monday through Thursday for clients needing emergency food; enough food is supplied to last 10-14 days. Orders are customized to meet specific dietary health needs. Holiday Food Baskets are distributed to eligible clients and are provided by our participating congregations and local businesses. Low-income residents are provided with new and gently used clothing and small household necessities. A new Career Corner is available for those going into the workforce. Infants and children's clothing is available; there is also a Birthday Room with new toys and books. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED - Call 248-656-0230.
